In line with WFTO Asia's new consumer logo and tagline (shopping with a conscience), it will be launching a consumer campaign called '100% Guilt Free shopper' that aims to inform the consumers that they have the power to eradicate poverty, stop child and forced labor, advocate for gender equality, support sustainability and capacity building, safeguard the environment, promote equality in trade, and open opportunities for health and education with a single, conscientious purchase. This can be possible by simply SWITCHING to certified Fair Trade products. For example, instead of buying the usual tea or coffee, buy Fair Trade tea or coffee. They'll not only enjoy a high quality purchase but they're assured that their purchase can actually start ripples of change. Switching to Fair Trade is a certified 100% Guilt Free investment. SWITCHING can also be achieved by supporting the organization through the purchase of its advocacy merchandise (bag and shirt), fundraising, sponsoring and/or volunteering. For every peso that WFTO Asia receives, 80 cents will be used for its regional advocacy projects and activities while the remaining 20 cents will be used to raise the next peso. The campaign target 1000000 switchers by the end of the year. 1000000 people who realized that thoughtless buying isn't enough. 1000000 people who believes that they can use the power of their purchase to change the lives of millions of disadvantaged communities all over the world.
